Five weeks . . .
. . . until Captain Indecisive has to decide to run/not run for Central Bureau Chief.
My unrelenting desire to get the hell out of Winnipeg continues to be mitigated by a sense of guilt/commitment to the Toban, as well as the fact that because this is a garbagey university, I'll have an Honours degree in two years of half-assed Arts studies (last year I didn't take a single political studies course).
But then there's Vancouver, and UBC ... I remember dreaming of UBC and McGill in grade 12, and now I really have no reason not to go -- so what's stopping me?
Argh.
Then there's the Gateway: while I don't want to move to Edmonton, I have a massive, massive crush on the paper, and as such I'm so tempted to apply for a job there. I think I would gain the most as a journalist, though not on my resume, by working there.
It really depends on what I want, I guess: to stay, and eventually (most likely) be editor-in-chief; to go to UBC, and get into the grad school of my choice; to go to the U of A, and just learn how to be a great news editor. Assuming I could get a job, there, of course, which is probably quite an assumption considering how awesome the Gateway is.
Double argh.
That's not true, by the way. There are only four of us in the program from BC.
But, but, but ... Joel said!
How many people are in the program from other provinces?
