When beavers attack!!@!

Conservation Minister Stan Struthers has announced a two-phase Problem Beaver Management Program for 2006-07 to help reduce losses to private property and public infrastructure.

"Non-lethal management techniques will be employed to address problems in certain situations," said Struthers. Devices known as beaver deceivers or pond levellers will be constructed and made available for installation in chronic problem areas.

Since the program was introduced in 1993 more than 94,300 beaver have been removed.
