Achilles rocks my socks.

So goes the theorizing of today:

We all have flaws, some bigger than others, some more and some less, you get the picture.

More importantly: we all have one major flaw -- a flaw that will eventually lead to our demise.

Mine is very clearly my blunt ambition, which sets me up for failure every time. I set enormous goals and second-guess them endlessly, and am somehow always absolutely crushed when they horrifically fall from the sky and wreak havoc on innocent bystanders and the like.

Why have I come back to public blogging only to proclaim my kryptonite to the world? Well, 'cause it's like a drug I really need to quit, or at least cut back on. I hate always being dissatisfied. I hate being fixated on the unattainable.

Plus: I really want to know what other peoples' fatal flaws are (or what they think they are). It's like reverse superherodom. Like a train wreck. Like ... life.

'Nough with the optimism: in the spirit of yet another ridiculously ambitous project that will fail painfully and break my heart -- let's share!

Mine is definitely arrogance combined with ambition - it's a sad and terrible combination that I have been working hard to suppress. The Funny thing is that i'm actually very insecure on the inside but then become awkward on the outside in order to try and mask it. It doesn't work too well.

*le sigh*

Everyone has their kryptonite, yours may be ambition, mine might be that with a touch of the arrogance, but, really, I'd prefer those to apathy and sloth. No?

Yay! You commented!

... And I don't think people who are apathetic have such fragile egos that they would ever write the above -- they'd just cruise on through. Just sayin's all.

It's funny, sometimes I wonder if my low-self confidence is actually ridiculously high self-confidence that I never make good on.
